Ms. Hakima Choukri
Hakima Choukri is a PhD candidate at the “Linguistic, Literary, Cultural, and Interdisciplinary Studies Research Lab,” Abdelmalek Essaadi University, Morocco. She holds an MA in English literature and the history of ideas. Her research focuses on the narrativization of trauma in minority fiction by women authors and the mobilization of literature for minority causes. Her publications include “The Absurdity of Liberation in Moroccan Prison Narratives,” published by the Journal of Comparative Literature and Culture, and a forthcoming article with The Swedish Book Review, titled “Ann-Helén Laestadius, the Sámi Scheherazade.”
