Ms. Ekin Sibel Ceren Özdemir
She is an interdisciplinary researcher, project coordinator, and curator working at the intersections of gender, political ecology, environmental justice, and contemporary art. They hold a B.A. in Economics from Boğaziçi University and an M.Sc. in Political Ecology, Degrowth and Environmental Justice from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (ICTA-UAB). Ekin has coordinated research, advocacy, and cultural projects with organizations including TEMA Foundation and the na+CTRL art collective, focusing on climate justice, feminist methodologies, and participatory knowledge production. Their current research explores queer environmentalism in Turkey, examining the intersections of gender, ecology, and social movements. They have presented their work at international academic conferences and received research and travel support from organizations including CultureCIVIC and the Association for Heterodox Economics. Their interests include feminist political ecology, queer theory, environmental governance, and socially engaged artistic research.
She regularly presents her research at academic and professional conferences in France and internationally.
